PSA: How to Recover from Post Traumatic Race Stress

Dear Reader,

Did you, or someone you know, recently have a race that sucked?  If so, you may be suffering from PTRS, like I am today.  To find out for sure, here is a nifty flowchart of questions to help you understand your symptoms:


Did you have a race that sucked today?
Yes: Continue to Next Question.  No: Congratulations, you do not suffer from PTRS

Did you change the subject when someone asked you how the race went?
Yes: Continue to Next Question.  No: Congratulations, you do not suffer from PTRS

Did comparing your finishing time to others' help?
Yes: Congratulations, you are on your way to recovery from PTRS   No: Continue to Next Question.

Did eating a big, fat burger help?
Yes: Congratulations, you are on your way to recovery from PTRS   No: Continue to Next Question.

Did taking the next run off  make you feel even more depressed?
Yes: Continue to Next Question.  No: Congratulations, you are on your way to recovery from PTRS

Did your friends' bountiful supportive comments and hugs make a difference?
Yes: Congratulations, you are on your way to recovery from PTRS   Yes, but Only A Little: Continue to Next Question. No: Continue to Next Question.

Have you signed up for a next race of the same distance?
Yes: Congratulations, you are on your way to recovery from PTRS!
